Characters & States
3 charactersCaine
The ringmaster AI from The Amazing Digital Circus, appearing as a summonable NPC in the Roblox game. Caine is the only verified named character in Experience Abstraction.
Caine can be summoned when a player types Caine in chat near an abstracted player. This triggers the Cellar event chain.
Normal Player
The default player state in Experience Abstraction. Players keep their standard Roblox avatar and can choose to trigger or resist abstraction.
Normal players can move freely, socialize, toggle room lights, and interact with chat commands like Caine.
Abstracted Player
A player who has undergone the abstraction transformation. They appear as dark heavy creatures with bright multicolored eye-like markings. Abstraction is triggered by isolation, darkness, or proximity to other abstracted players.
Abstracted players have social contagion — their proximity puts nearby normal players at risk of abstraction.
Caine is the only verified named character in Experience Abstraction. Other TADC characters from the original series (Pomni, Jax, Ragatha, Kinger, Gangle, Zooble) are NOT confirmed as playable characters in the Roblox game.
Core Mechanics
Characters in Experience Abstraction exist in three states: normal player (default Roblox avatar), abstracted player (dark heavy creature with multicolored eye markings), and Caine (the only named NPC). Each state has different implications for gameplay — normal players can move freely and coordinate, abstracted players passively threaten nearby normals, and Caine exists only as a summonable event trigger.
Advantages
The three-state system is elegantly simple. Normal players have full agency, abstracted players become environmental hazards, and Caine provides a cooperative goal. This design allows every player on the server to have a meaningful role regardless of their state.
Weaknesses
With only one confirmed NPC and no playable TADC characters, the character roster is minimal. Players expecting to interact with Pomni, Jax, or other TADC characters will not find them in the game. The abstracted player state has no confirmed abilities beyond passive contagion.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Pomni in Experience Abstraction?
No. While Pomni is a main character in The Amazing Digital Circus series, no TADC characters have been confirmed as playable in the Roblox game. Only Caine exists as a summonable NPC.
Can abstracted players attack you?
No. Abstracted players are passive — they do not chase, attack, or target anyone. Their mere proximity creates the contagion risk. This is fundamentally different from infection games where transformed players actively pursue normals.
How do I summon Caine?
One player must become fully abstracted first. Then a second player stays nearby and types Caine in Roblox chat. If nothing happens, confirm full abstraction, rejoin, or try a fresh server.
Quick Tips
Caine is the only verified named NPC — type Caine in chat near an abstracted player to summon.
TADC series characters (Pomni, Jax, etc.) are NOT confirmed as playable in the Roblox game.

Gameplay
Understanding the core mechanics of Experience Abstraction is essential. The game revolves around managing three key variables: light, company, and proximity. No numeric timers, distance thresholds, or hidden meters have been published by the developer.
TADC Connection
Experience Abstraction is directly inspired by The Amazing Digital Circus (TADC), a web series by GLITCH. Understanding the original lore and characters enhances your gameplay experience and helps distinguish what is in the game versus what is only in the show.
